Acne is dreaded by particularly teenagers, but it is becoming an issue affecting people of all different ages. There are no doubts however, that teenagers more commonly suffer from acne than other age groups. As it happens there are tons of different product treatments offered which could help relieve the condition. So, therefore, it pays for you to understand what causes acne first, than look for method of treatment for the skin condition. The skin disorder, acne, occurs when skin gets inflamed. You won’t be able to take action with this disorder as effectively as possible if you don’t understand what causes acne. Some people are of the option that what causes acne really is disruption of male hormones (testosterone) though in fact, it is really an intense kind of response to testosterone by the body that causes acne. Often times people can grow out of their acne conditions. As we grow older, the symptoms very rarely show up, unless someone happens to be unfortunate enough to be an exception to the rule. There also seems to be multiple misconceptions about what causes acne that we must dispel. As a matter of fact, many of the commercials that deal with selling acne products help propagate the misconceptions.
To break it all down, there is a quite a bit to be learned about what causes acne, and in general, acne. Puberty, certainly is a point in life where a individuals risk of acne is at large. This is because during puberty the body produces testosterone which converts into dihydrotesterone. Dihydrotesterone causes oil to secret. With too much secretion, oil will block the bodies pores and lead to acne. Another good way of looking at what causes acne, is the condition rention hyperkeratosis, which makes the body produce too many skin cells. In fact, its far more than that body could get rid of of shed. The results from this, is acne from extra skin cells clogging up the pores. Aside from the skin cells and excess oil, dirt and bacteria tend to cause acne – especially if they can grow close to the skins surface. Among popular belief, chocolates and greasy foods will cause acne. Actually, the truth is that only if the pores are clogged acne will develop. So other facts only are incidental to this fact. If you are having problems with acne, you should check this highly recommended product review out!

The link between cow’s milk and acne has long been controversial. As long ago as 1924 a doctor, Albert Hoge, in the Journal of American Medicine, talked about one of his young patients developing acne after his mother forced him to drink cow’s milk. Many people seem to develop an allergy to milk products which can cause skin rashes as well as digestive upsets.
More and more doctors, nutritionists and scientists are convinced that cow’s milk plays a huge part in triggering acne. This seems to be confirmed by a 2005 Harvard School of Public Healthy study, where people who drank three or more cups of milk a day were 22% more likely to experience severe acne compared with those who drank less. In fact, skimmed milk was more likely to cause acne than full-fat milk.
So, why should drinking milk cause acne? There has been suggestion that drinking milk and eating dairy products originating from pregnant cows exposes us to extremely high levels of hormones. These hormones contain estrogens, progesterones and androgens which are metabolized by our bodies, leading to an over-production of oil in the sebaceous glands, one of the causes of acne. Additionally, milk contains pesticides, herbicides, fertilisers and added hormones.
What we know is that at least 85% of teenagers suffer with acne and what do teenagers love to eat – cheese pizzas and milk chocolate. Even though it’s difficult for teenagers to give up dairy products, it may be worth eliminating them for a while to see whether this clears up their acne.
Milk is rich in calcium, so it’s important to eat other calcium rich foods to replace dairy. Here are some suggestive alternatives:
- Use soy milk fortified with calcium. I would recommend that you buy organic soy milk.
- If you find it hard to give up cheese, try a non-dairy version made from soy. Sprinkle it on your home-made pizzas – you won’t know the difference!
- Have to have a dessert? Give soy yogurt and desserts a try.
- For chocolate addicts try dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants which makes it a healthier alternative to milk chocolate. Don’t get too excited though, dark chocolate contains a lot of fat and calories, so limit your consumption.
- Make sure you eat plenty of dark leafy green vegables which are rich in calcium such as kale, spinaches, collard and turnip greens. Also, broccoli, brussel sprouts, sesame seeds, almonds, tofu, salmon and sardines are all rich in calcium.
If you thank that milk and dairy products are the culprit, then eliminate them from your diet for a fews weeks to see if it makes any differences. Make sure you replace dairy with other calcium rich foods.
Cow’s milk is not the only trigger for acne, so if you want to know more about acne and treatment, please make sure you take a look at my Clear Skin Guide website.

What Are The Causes Of Acne?
Acne is by no means a rare condition. For most people, it is another of life’s little trials. Seemingly few will escape.Acne is widely considered as one of the most troublesome parts of the entire growing up process. If you understand what causes acne, you have taken the first, vital step to learning how to minimize it’s effect.
What causes acne?
Understanding what causes acne starts with the structure of your skin, in this case on your face. The surface of your skin can have millions of tiny hairs growing up through millions of tiny openings called pores. If you follow the pore down into the skin you will find small oil producing glands called sebaceous glands; the oil they produce is called sebum.
In normal, acne free skin, only enough sebum to help keep your skin healthy, by keeping it moisturized, is produced. After being produced by the glands it reaches the skin surface via the individual pores.Sebum is a multi-tasking oil, it helps in keeping your skin moist and also clean, by aiding in the removal of bacteria and dead skin cells. You can’t stop your skin getting dirty, but it is comforting to know that nature has provided a ready made solution.
Unfortunately, disruption to this natural process inevitably leads to acne. This happens most often during adolescence when the body begins producing large quantities of hormones and other substances that the body must learn to process and deal with appropriately. These changes in hormone levels during the learning process can cause many difficulties, the development of acne being one of them.
How acne actually forms
When your body produces extra hormones, it causes the sebaceous glands under the skin to produce much more sebum than before. The ability of the pores on your skin to remove dead skin cells can also be adversly affected by these hormones. The result is a clogged pore in which bacteria, dead skin cells, and sebum combine into a mixture that leads to swelling, inflammation, infection, and skin tenderness.
The next part of the process is when whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples, amongst other acne lesions begin to form on your skin.Better know as acne, it is this combination of lesions that can cause so much difficulty for so many people.
Living and dealing with acne
While there is no way to 100% get rid of acne problems, there are a number of things you can do to make living with it and dealing with it easier. These include:
• Cleanse your skin – Use a gentle facial cleanser twice per day to help get rid of excess oils, dead skin cells, and bacteria.Be careful not to irritate your skin by rubbing or scrubbing your skin. This can lead to more acne.
• Apply anti-acne medication – A prescription from a doctor is not always required for these top quality medications.Inhibiting the production of sebum, the amount of bacteria on your skin and improving the dead skin removal process are the main benefits of these medications.
• Moisturize your skin – Avoid letting your skin get too dry and you will find your acne problems diminishing. As too much natural oil is a contributory factor in getting acne in the first place, it makes sense to choose an oil-free moisturizer.
Understanding what causes acne makes it much easier to live with and deal with acne each day. When you have the right information at your fingertips you are well on your way to minimizing your acne problems!

Pimples are so ugly, no one likes to have them they make you feel uncomfortable. That’s why when they pop up we rush around for medications to clear them up A.S.A.P. Though there is nothing wrong with being obsessed with eliminating and getting rid of pimples it would be foolish to attempt a solution to the problem without first identifying what causes pimples. It just makes sense to find out what causes pimples and address that problem as well as any other that may have caused the pimple to appear in the first place. Otherwise, the results would be less than satisfactory and your frustration levels would also rise.

Don’t Pop the Zit!
People always touch there face with what seems to be clean hands but as we all should know already bacteria is on almost every thing we touch and when we touch are faces that’s where most zits pop up. The dirt as well as oil from your fingers can irritate your skin and this of course can easily mean that pimples will start to develop. Worse still, if you continue scratching at your pimples you can then cause the problem to spread which is certainly not good for you.
It should not come as any big surprise that when you check what causes pimples to find that eating junk foods as well as fast foods is a another major reason why the problem develops. Foods that are laden with sugar and with saturated oils as well as vegetable oils can certainly make you more prone to developing pimples. This means needing to avoid eating chips and chocolates as too cakes and burgers – and, more in the same vein.
Stressing out is another piece of information that causes pimples along with oily skin. The oilier your skin is the more likely it is that the pores will get clogged up with oil and this can lead to appearance of pimples. To avoid this from happening wash your face with a face wash a few times a day that has sorbital or even glycerin in it ,it should help keep the break outs to a minimum.
Skin that is dry drinking lots of water will help keep you hydrated and that should help with the pores from clogging up.
Now that you know what causes pimples you can look for things you can do that will help you deal with the pimple to remove them from spreading and possibility from coming back.

While nobody has ever really died of acne, this skin trouble may result to troublesome scars and blemishes that are very hard to get rid of. There are many causes of acne and there are also different types, the most common of which is the so called acne vulgaris. Acne is a common skin problem among adolescents, especially during puberty, but a lot of people still carry this problem into adulthood. Since acne can unfortunately bring with it embarrassment and humiliation, especially to teenagers, healing acne, as well as knowing the many causes of acne, is something that should be taken into serious consideration.
Causes of Acne
Acne formation usually occurs when the pores are clogged with excess oil or sebum along with dirt, causing bacterial reactions that lead to inflammation. A major factor among the various causes of acne is heredity as some people are more prone to acne than others due to genetic strutures. These individuals often have extra productive sebaceous glands causing increased levels of oil piling up inside skin pores, usually beneath hair follicles. Some of them also shed skin more than other people causing the buildup of dead skin cells that will eventually block the pores.
The sensitivity of an individual’s skin is among the major factors and causes of acne. Some types of skin, for example, are allergic to certain products, such as shampoos or lotions, that otherwise wouldn’t have any adverse effects on other skin types. Especially during puberty and menstruation, hormonal fluctuations can lead to acne breakouts.
Diet is also one thing that should not be ignored with regard to identifying the different causes of acne. A daily menu that is high in sugar and oil can result to increased production of sebum on our skin. Stress, which often results to lack of sleep, is another contributing factor to the formation of acne.
Healing Acne
In cases where acne formation is caused by food intake, staying away from fatty food is definitely a good way of healing acne. Acne formation that results from hormonal swings is ideally treated with medication, mostly in the form of pills. Topical applications of certain anti-acne substances can also help greatly not only in healing acne but also in controlling and preventing acne onslaughts.
Also, key to healing acne is cleaning the skin, especially facial skin, by washing it with a gentle soap and water or with a water-based cleanser on a regular basis. This is to prevent dirt and sebum from building up on the skin, thereby eliminating potential clogging of the pores.
Healing acne may actually just be a matter of knowing the various causes of acne in order to find suitable means to address the skin condition.
